What is an Event Stylist?

You may not see a bunch of event styling sites with a blog. For the most part, it is quicker to watch a video than read it (and we will have videos out on our Instagram page 😉). But sometimes you have to revisit a topic a few times to get the gist of it. The purpose of this blog is to help you as a prospective party planner for your next event. With our years of experience, we have some tips! Let’s start with what an event stylist is.

What is an Event Stylist?

An Event Stylist, sometimes called an Event Designer, is someone who decorates an event. Essentially, it’s an interior decorator for your party space, making things pretty. 😄

The priority of the Event Stylist is to make sure that the visuals of the event are cohesive with the mood of the party and the guest experience. For example, if there’s a romantic vibe to an anniversary party, the stylist will make sure warm tones like candlelights will be added and not bright lights that will throw off the mood.

Although there may be some event stylists who know the behind-the-scenes of coordinating a party, this is not their priority. That is the job of an Event Planner or Event Coordinator which will be discussed in the next post!
